Donald Frank “Donnie” Callaway

Donnie was born on January 14, 1941 to the late Sara E. Fox Callaway and Lewis H. “Monk” Callaway. He passed away peacefully at Milford Center nursing home on Thursday, April 13, 2017. 
He graduated from Milford High School in 1960. He attended the University of Delaware and served in the Delaware National Guard. He was employed by Hercules, Inc. and Brandywine Junior College in Wilmington, DE before moving to the Washington, D.C. area to work for District Lithograph. After retiring from District Lithograph, he moved back home to Delaware and worked at Waterford Crystal in Rehoboth Beach.

He is survived by his siblings: Lewis A. “Lonnie” Callaway (Gail) of Lewes, DE, Sandra L. Callaway Bradley (Ralph) of Rehoboth Beach, DE, Robert E. “Bobby” Callaway of Milford, DE, his maternal aunt, Addie Mae Meehan of Greenwood, DE, his former wife, Jo Lee Downing Callaway of Milton, DE, his nephew, Steven L. Callaway of Middletown, DE, his nieces, Monica L. Bradley of Alexandria, VA, Tara L. Bradley of Rehoboth Beach, DE, 3 great-nephews, 1 great-niece, many cousins and friends. 

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to all of the staff at the Milford Center nursing home for the care they gave to Donnie. 

Graveside services will be at the Milford Community Cemetery on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 2:00 pm.
