Charles Edwin "Chuck" Holt, TSgt. USAF retired, 84, of Milford, DE passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Bayhealth Medical Center, Milford Memorial Hospital. He was born in Newton, MA the son of the late Chester R. and Helen M. (Denty) Holt. Chuck served in the U. S. Air Force for 20 years before retiring as a Tech. Sergeant in 1971. Following his retirement, he became a Civil Service employee, working at Cape Charles Air Station, Cape Charles, VA and the Pave Paws Missile Tracking Station in Sandwich, MA before retiring in 1979. After retiring, Chuck moved to Florida for several years and then returned to Magnolia and then in 2002, moved to Milford. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Post in Camden, DE and the American Legion Post #2 in Dover. He attended St. John the Apostle Catholic Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Violet Ann (Watts) Holt in 2003, and 2 brothers Edward "Ted" Holt and Chet Holt.

He is survived by 4 sons and daughters-in-law Stephen C. and Sandra Holt, Roy P. and Tammy Holt, Michael D. and Sandra Holt and Terry and Louise Holt; 2 daughters and sons-in-law Linda M. Taylor and her husband John and Donna M. Eder and her husband Eddie; 2 brothers John and his wife Pat, and David and one sister Barbara; as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Staff at Milford Place for their kindness and caring.

A viewing will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 am on Monday, May 8, 2017 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford. Committal services with Air Force Honors will follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the D.A.V. of Camden, 183 South Street, Camden, DE  19934.
