Benjamin James Moorhead, 62, of Milford, DE passed away on Friday, July 7, 2017 at the Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA. Ben was born in Erie, PA the son of the late Forrest Randall and Sarah (Wilson) Moorhead. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He began his career at Con Agra in Milford, where he worked for 17 years in industrial maintenance and as a welder. He was tasked with being the one to build and fix the machines throughout the plant. Ben then went to work for Walmart in Milford starting in 2002, and continued working up until his death. He was known as a "Jack of All Trades" and loved to tinker. He could build, fix and repair anything that was put before him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Anna Mae Long and Evelyn Brown and his brothers Forrest Moorhead and George Wyatt.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Mary; his children Dawn Marie Keiper, Shawn Michael Moorhead and Charelle Tiffany Moorhead, 7 grandchildren, his sister-in-law Rose Mary Martz, who he considered as one of his daughters and a brother-in-law Philip Watkins and his wife Andrea. He leaves behind a great family and his extended family at the Milford Walmart.
A viewing will be held from 6 - 8 pm on Thursday evening, July 13 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford and again from 10 - 11 am on Friday, July 14. Funeral services will follow at 11 am. Burial will be in St. Johnstown Cemetery, Greenwood. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
