Beatrice Agnes (Webb) West was called to her heavenly home on Monday, March 14, 2016 while surrounded by her family at the Milford Hospice Center. She was 91 years young. She was born in Milford, Delaware on Monday, September 1, 1924 to her parents Henry Whitely and Pearl Prettyman (Sharp) Webb.

Aggie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Marvel L. “Sam” West, her parents, Whitely and Pearl Webb, one great-grandson, Jacob Williams, one brother, Charles Webb, and one sister, Betty Lou Perry.

Aggie was a pillar of faith, positive thinking, and never knew a stranger.  She talked endlessly about the love of her life, Sam, and they shared everything together. Family and friends were always in and out of her home visiting.

Aggie was active in her church, Calvary United Methodist, for years, attending services regularly and participating in circles and on various committees.  She also was a Brownie Leader Assistant, Boy Scout Den Mother, and helped her husband whenever she was able for Little League.  She was an avid reader, loved to sew, enjoyed days by the pool, enjoyed yard sales and thrift shops, and had a passion for her camper at Tuckahoe Acres near Bethany Beach, where she had a permanent site for over 30  years.  She loved for her children, grandchildren, and friends to visit her there too. She loved the regular visits from all of her children and grandchildren and over the years could be found at many of the children’s activities, cheering them on. She will be fondly remembered by family and friends as the most caring and loving person.

Aggie is survived by her brother, George Alton Webb, of Ocean Pines, Maryland, and her first cousin, Eileen Webb Clark of Smyrna, Delaware. She is also survived by her four children, Dona L. (Dewey) Sapp, C. Randy (Nancy) West, Susan West, all of Milford, and Robert West and his significant other Patti Coker of Dover.  Aggie was blessed with seven grandchildren, Derek Sapp, Dafne Carnright, Brian West, Christina Gaul, Matthew West, Heather Mills, and Aaron West, and their families.  She was also blessed with eighteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:00 PM March 20th at Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford, DE where friends may call from 12-1PM.  Burial will be in Henlopen Memorial Park, Milton. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Calvary United Methodist Church, 301 SE Front Street, Milford, DE, or Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford DE, 19963.
